<Chateau de Versailles>

 Vast Chateau de Versailles is the key example of  baroque architectures of  palace. Louis 14 wanted the place where youth is released here and there and this palace reflects well such new preference and light style. Versailles was Chateau of royal family of France originally, thousands of nobles, court officers and civil servant stayed in there since 1682 to 1789. There are hall for greeting in the middle of this palace, it is popular for vast size -2143 windows, 1252 fireplaces and 67 stairs. There are 1400 fountains in the garden. Chateau de Versailles was started tiny gareden for Louis 13 and it became bigger and bigger by series of extension. It was became bigger dramatically when Louis 14 ruled.

 

<Eiffel Tower>

 Eiffel Tower is designed by architect who in chare of making frame of the Statue of Liberty and it is one of the most popular architecture which can be called as another achievement of architectural engineering of France in the world. Eiffel Tower can be recognized at only one time watching so it is the symbol of France and Paris and icons of elegance, simplicity and modernity. Eiffel Tower takes possession of the cenral venue when national ceremonies of France are held. Not all people liked the pure modernity of Eiffel Tower. Lots of people laughed at Eiffel Tower as 'pyramid which is made of wire', 'a pair of trainning tool in the gym'(I can`t understand what is mean) and 'sucky pillar which is made of wire'. Eventually, there are more people who for the Eiffel than aginst.

<Triumphal Arch>

 Triumphal Arch is a representative tourist attraction which symbolize Paris with Eiffel Tower. Triumphal Arch is made to commmemorate the victory of Napoleon in war. It was  designed by imitating Arch of Titus. There were only heros who are allowed to enter the under of Triumphal Arch in the Roman Era.

<Louvre Museum>

 Louvre Museum is one of the world`s top three museums. It was just fortress when it was built in 1190, it became huge by reconstructing it into palace in the mid-16th century. It was altered into museum when the part of palace was used as central art gallery. After five centuries, about 300,000 arts work such as paintings and sculptures are collected from Europe and other variety regions. It is imposssibe to look around entire of museums in a day so it is good to check where are the interesting works and plan the walking line if there are interesting works. There is a pyramid which is made of glass in front of front gate of Louvre Museum. It was against by many people that day but it became a symbol of Louvre Museum. Going into glass-pyramid, it is connected to hall of Napoleon. Information desk, ticket office, book store, checkroom and museum shop are in there. People buy tickets and guide books in there and start watching. Galleries are divided into Denon gallery, Richelieu gallery and Sully gallery. Each galleries consist of from underground to third floor and it is seperated in detail by regions and ages. Ancient art works of Orient and Islam and sculptures of Italy and Spain and North Europe are displayed in underground. People can watch art works  more cubic effect by natrual rays from ceiling which made of glass. There are art works of ancient Egypt and Greece and Rome in first floor. We can see Venus de Milo in here. Second floor is always crowded because there are lots of popular and well known art works. Paintings of 19th France are displayed so people can see works of master like Ingres, David and De la croix. Nike of Samothrace and Mona Lisa of Leonardo da Vinci are displayed in here. Third floor has also paintings of France. Here is also popular for travelers.

<Trafalgar Square>
 Trafalgar Square was made for celebration of victory of battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Many people must visit here traveling London and travelers and citizens of there are gathered and scattered in there. It is also center of traffic,it is responsible for start and end of trip. China town, National Gallery, st.James park and Buckingham palace are near Trafalgar Square. It is important for people of United Kingdom because there is monument of Horatio Nelson.

<Buckingham Palace>
 Buckingham Palace is office and house of royal family of United Kingdom.It is the official place where royal family greets national guests. Originally, it was built for the Duke of Buckingham`s personal house but, roayal family bought it and rebuilt Buckingham in 1762. It haven`t have shape of palace until 1820 and it was not balanced because process of rebuilding was chaotic. However,front side of it has formality of royal family and imposing atsmosphere so many travelers take pictures at here. Hghlight of visiting Buckingham palace is changing of royal guards. During the changing of royal guards, all transportations of palace are controled and the parade begin. However, the schedule of changing of royal guards can be changed suddenly because of major events of royal family or visiting of national guests. Therefore, Travelers must check schedules in there.

<Tower Bridge>
 Tower Bridge is a landmark of London like Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. It is wondrful when it sparkles white by light. Total lengh of it is 805m and it was constucted in 1984. Each side of towers are Gothic style so it is so impressive. The view looking at the trail which connected tower to tewer captures eyes of travlers. Middle area of Tower Bridge can be opened when huge ships go thrrugh it and it`s view is grand so many people want to see it. However,it became hard to watch often because the number of incoming and outgoing ships decrease.

<King`s Cross Station>
 In the Harry Potter, students who go to Hogwarts must take on the Hogwarts Express at the 9 and 3/4 platform. King`s Cross station is the real site of 9 and 3/4 platform.

<London Zoo>
 This is the place where Harry talks with snake at first in the movie. London Zoo is on the north side of  Regents Park. It is the oldest zoo in the world. Also, it has largest amount of animals in the United Kingdom. There are many kinds of animals such as mammals and reptiles in London Zoo. Since it was opened, area of reptile opened at first in the world in 1849, first aquarium in 1853, first insectarium in 1881 and first zoo of children in turn. Most popular area is the Gorilla Kingdom. Gorillas go around in there freely.

<Christ Church College>
 Christ Church is the magical dining room where Harry Potter and other students eat their meals. Their meals are always made by magic of teachers. It is the church on the England Oxford. Henry 8 established in 1532. It is the only combination of church and college. It is the largest college in the Oxford colleges. It is famous for beautiful stained glass which Edward Burne Jones made.

<Bodleian Library>
 Bodleian Library is the place where Hermione borrows books in the movie. It is the library of Oxford university, it is the oldest library in the United Kingdom. It has most first edition of books published in United Kingdom by donation. Especially, there are lots of literature of United Kingdom, first editions of many books and books of East Asia. Bodleian Library was established by Thomas Cobham in 1327. It was closed when Edward 6 ruled in 1550. However, Thomas bodley reopened the library and expanded it buying surrounding buildings.

 

United Kingdom

Since i have introduced only about Korea, i decide to focus on foreign country. First country is United Kingdom. The reason why i choose it is that i will go to there on vacation. Therefore, before going there, this posting give a chance which prerpare about United Kingdom.

<British Museum>

 British Museum is the one of the world`s top three  museums. It was opened in 1759 and there are lots of rare ancient remains such as Egypt, Mesopotamia , Greece, Rome and other countries. It is impossible that see all of the exhibited items in British Museum in a day because it is the largest scale museum in the world. Therefore, if travelers want to see exhibitions, they have to plan their schedule on British museum at least couple of days. If there are few times to see them, it is good idea to pick out the exhibitions which they want to see. Exhibitions can be largely divided into Egypt, Greece and Rome, West Asia, East Asia. Especially, people must see Garden of Nevamun and Rosetta Stone in Egypt area. We can feel  sensce of beauty of Egyptians who were seeking complete beauty. The mummy is one of popular exhibitions, especially Ramses 2 and Amenophis 3, huge statues are good to see. Greece and Rome area is pretty huge. Especially, Greece Parthenon Temple is beatiful. Though, there are parts of damaged, it has still beautiful lines. In East Asia  area, we can see lots of ancient remains such as Assyrian, Babylonian, Sumerian and Phoenician. We can see lots of variety human cultural remains in this area such as Black obelisk and harp which the Sumerian Queen played. In the East Asia area, we can see remains of China, India, Persia and Central Asia. The place which graps my eyes is Korea area. There are lots of remains which since Old Stone Age to late Chosun dynasty.

 

Gunsan1

Today,I will introduce about Gunsan which is my hometown.In fact,Gunsan is not exactly my hometown but I am living in there for a long time than real hometown so I regard Gunsan as my hometown.

It is the place where people living in Gunsan enjoy in their free time.People can walking,jogging or
running along the side of lake.Also,there are lots of amusing things such as inline skating course and
duck boats so children can play well in here.In fact,they are the genuine things that I want to introduce you about here.One is Mulbit bridege and the other is festival of cherry blossoms.
Mulbit bridge is the bridge  across the Eunpa lake and it has many lamps that have differnet colors.
Therefore,many people love this place because night scene is so beautiful as you can see in above pictures.Therefore,it is good to take pictures at night.
Cherry blossoms are also very famous.It is so fantastic when cherry blossoms are in full bloom along side lake as you can see above pictures.Therefore,lots of couple visit here and enjoy their date.

<Saemangeum>
 

Saemangeum is the sea wall that block sea water and alter sea into land so it is so long as you can see
in the picture.If you go to there,you can see blue,wide western sea and lots of islands.You can enjoy
cool wind and smell of the sea.Watching the sea,you can feel fresh,dynamic and extensiveness.
The road of Saemangeum is nice driving course because it is very long and there are seas each side of
road so people can enjoy driving.Also,there are lots of things to enjoy such as foods,auto camping site and festival.Foods are so variety and fresh because sea is just next to there.Therefore,you can
eat lots of sea foods,row fishes and sushies.Auto camping site is in ready but I think that it is useless because there are nothing to enjoy camping such as landscape.I don`t kow when people hold festivals
but it is definite that there are festivals.

Namisum

 

Until now,I only had posted about cities but today I will introduce about a island called Namisum.

Nami Island has founded a special creative playground for children composed of safe and joyful rides right next to the Unicef Hall. The name of this playground is Un-chi(Unicef+Child) Park,which is a compound word of Unicef and Child, and also means ‘A place where children gathering as cloud’,

 

derived from the meaning of its Chinese character. Having a slides park, bicycle rental shop, electronic bicycles, sky bicycles, and electronic mini cars, this playground attracts many young guests to enjoy their freedom of play.

It is 6 meters tall from the ground so people can feel like in the sky and you people enjoy beautiful landscape more easily because people can look down all of the island.However,there is little problem that according to experienced,some people caln be scary.

<Metasequoia lane>

 

 

Metasequoia lane is called as living fossils.Trees were transplanted on the Namisum  from the  Seoul National University.It is growing very fast and it has exotic,elegant and grand aspect.Also it was the film site of famous television drama named 'Winter Sonata'.Therefore,there are many tourists at here

and Metasequoia Lane has turned out to be the most popular, and also the symbolic site on Nami Island.

 

<Lots of ponds on Namisum>

 

 

 

   

There used to be only one pond on Nami Island, in front of the Tomb of General Nami. In 2001, it was named YonJi Pond, the gift to lovers, and there was another GonJi Pond made in front of Cho-ok House for our insect community to enjoy. Afterwards, several ponds were also made in every corner of the Island.
