Gyeongju

<Seokgatap>


  Seokgatap is located in the city of Gyeongju Jinhyondon,It was designated as National Treasure No. 21. in December 1962.Tower was damaged in1966 but restored in december.

<Anapji>

Anapji is the place where the king celebrate his important guests.Therefore,the lake and the palace are quite harmonious and beautifully decorated.At the time,they(the king and his guests)collected
rare animals in here and enjoy this place.

<Cheomseongdae>(첨성대)
Cheomseongdae is the oldest extant astronomical observatory in East Asia.Cheomseongdae has curvaceous look.It is not fancy but Cheomseongdae which has curvaceous look shows beauty of Korea.Especially,It is very beautiful at night. 

<Seokguram>

Until now, it is not completely restored so people put a glass rod to protect it.Looks to the other side of the glass, a beautiful piece of  Seokguram makes people to admire it.
It's incredible when I think that how the Silla potters engrave delicate pieces into it  thousand years ago. 

<Bulguksa>
 
 
 
May be,there are no Koreans who don`t know about Bulguksa. Enough to be designated as a World Heritage Site and famous for historical sites and No.1 scenic spots , and it's worth it.There are numerous national treasures and treasures such as the Dabotap, Seokgatap, gilt bronze Vairocana sedentary, gilt bronze Amida Buddha sedentary, Stupa, Yeonhwagyo Chilbogyo, Cheongungyo, Baekungyo.

<Hwangnyongsa>


The Hwangnyongsa Belt contains the site of the Hwangnyongsa Temple. Although Hwangnyongsa Temple was destroyed during the Mongol invasion, its enormous size prior to the destruction can be easily imagined. Some 40,000 excavated relics provide a valuable resource for studying Silla history.
The Myeonghwal Fortress in the Sanseong Belt, believed to have been built earlier than CE 400, demonstrates Silla's fortification techniques that subsequently influenced the fortifications of Japan.

  1. Hi Min Jun. I have been to Gyeongju and visited these places. It was all very interesting to me. Have you been there? I went there in winter over a year ago, so it was really cold when I visited.
